love the character peering nervously at the list, perhaps contemplating the “?” at the bottom. you know, you can tell a lot about a home from its shopping list, lee-roy…
johnnyhongkong: The “Mint (fresh) ” is pretty classy, but I must admit the “Brownie Mix classic fudge by Betty Crocker or Krusteaz” sounds a little white trash. As for “? Buns?”–that is indeed up to your imagination:)
jaime, it was impossible to make out the actual brands of brownie mix, but we approve of all things betty crocker and krusteaz. the disambiguation of the various kinds of lettuces kept in your home is maybe the most telling…
Wow, there is an actual dialogue happening in the comments of my blog!
johnnyhongkong, you should know that the majority of those items were dictated to me by Jamie (ahem, please note spelling), except “Limes (for beer)” and “? Buns?” because I don’t want none unless you got buns, hun.
you know, it’s like that bad message you leave on a girl’s machine - the one you wish you could go back and erase - i noticed the misspelling the moment pressed “submit”. so i apologize for the slip of my fingers jamie and lee-roy. i, however, won’t apologize for coming to conclusions as to why your home is butter lettuce dominant.
The conversation continues! I actually am very torn when it comes to lettuce (ouch!). Whether to chop or hand leaf? No, fo’ realz, lettuce at most grocery stores is so bad… it’s either lifeless or like cardboard. I’ve found that butter lettuce is the most reliable; yet I’m still not completely satisfied.
i read somewhere that you should hand leaf it (it being lettuce), because if you chop it, it will bruise, but i have never seen lettuce bruise or anything…interersting thing about the list, i saw charcoal, buns, lettuce, tomatoes, beer all the things to make a burger but no tofu or meat, very odd, what will you put between the buns, brownies, i don’t know…teex
Ah, yes, you have stumbled upon that elusive question which we humans have sought to answer since the dawn of modern civilization… Where’s the beef?
there were two questions i had about the list that I didn’t ask. teka asked one of them…
Lee-Roy, I thought you were going to say the elusive question that humans have sought to answer since the dawn of time that Teka stumbled on was “What will you put between the buns?”
